EOLE-RES - WHO WE ARE
Created in 1999, EOLE-RES is the result of a joint-venture between two companies: Eole Technologie, a French wind farm developer active in the field since 1995, and Renewable Energy Systems (RES), one of the leading wind energy companies worldwide. Eole Technologie and RES have worked closely together since 1998, developing and building wind farms. The two companies decided to unite their forces in June 1999, through a joint venture named EOLE-RES SA and merged in June 2001. In June 2004, RES became the sole shareholder of EOLE-RES.
EOLE-RES is today a subsidiary of RES Méditerranée, whose headquarters are in Avignon. The company develops, builds and operates renewable energy production units in Mediterranean countries and in the Middle East, for the RES Group.

EOLE-RES is behind 500 MW (megawatts) of renewable energy installed or currently under construction in France. These wind and solar farms, which total an annual production of 1,2 terawatt hours, are capable of providing enough electricity for around 580.000 people and prevent the emission of 400.000 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere each year. The company has currently more than 3000 MW of projects under development, at different stages of maturity. |
